New Single 'The Lake' Out Now

East London based artist Gary Albert has just released his first ever single ‘The Lake’ (released 6th October 2023), after a long and successful 20-year career as a musician. The new track is from his upcoming debut EP 'Metamorphosis’.

It was during the lockdown of 2020 that the multi-award-winning composer and performer realised he had spent his whole career making other artist’s music come alive but that he had his own sonic dreams to make come true. And so he spent the entire lockdown composing, recording and producing his own EP.

A captivating and dream-inducing neo-classical track, ‘The Lake’ balances profound serenity with emotive and captivating cinematic beauty. Gary Albert’s sparkling piano melts into the purity of his celestial flute, all lavished with dreamy electronic FX that create a sense of deep peace and contemplative tenderness.

The multi-instrumentalist blurs the boundaries between contemporary, poetic, impressionistic neo-classical sounds with an evocative electronic undertone and a spine-tingling cinematic flair - if the musical DNA of Max Richter, Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds combined, this could be it.

Gary Albert has racked up 5 awards over the last 2 years for his captivating live performances, including ‘Best Performance Music Video’, ‘Best Sound Design’, ‘Best Live Performance’ and ‘Best Live Performance On Film’.

Critics have said of his music “... a multi-instrumental dream. If you are looking for meaning, hope or even some time to reflect on yourself and everything that has happened during these trying times, catch his magical performance, close your eyes and let him take you on a journey to another world entirely” - Carl Burgess, Screen Critix

And now, Gary Albert has just released his first ever single after 20 years in the music industry.
